The Domaine des Vans in Chambonas in the Southern Ardèche
Located in the heart of the picturesque village of Chambonas, near the rivers of Chassezac, the Domaine des Vans is distinguished by its small stone houses. Set in a magnificent 3-hectare wooded park, at the gateway to the famous Païolive wood, the residence is the ideal starting point for lovers of nature and the local area.
Canoeing, swimming in the river, fishing, hiking, climbing, speleology and many other activities; the destination is as much a walker’s paradise as a sportsman’s playground.
History lovers will be seduced by the richness of the region’s heritage: the Chambonas bridge – the largest medieval bridge in the Ardèche, the Chauvet cave – listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site – and the Romanesque church of Thines are just a few examples of the many treasures to be found in the region.
